Our Process

STEP 1: INITAL ONSITE VISIT

After the initial enquiry with the custom pools team, we will we arrange a time that suits for an onsite visit. This visit for us to understand your requirements and for you to get to know us. We will talk through what you’re after and detail how our process works and what makes us different from our competition. After this onsite visit you will receive a detailed quote from Custom Pools based on what we discussed.

STEP 2: PLANS AND CONTRACT

After the initial on-site meeting, and acceptance of our quote, we will issue you with a contract documents and talk with you about a start date. Upon signing & paying the deposit you will be on course for the next step and one step closer to your new pool.

STEP 3: APPROVALS

Engineers are engaged to gain authority approvals. They then provide reports that both Custom Pools and local Council require.

STEP 4: PRE-EXCAVATION MEETING

This is a double check prior to the excavation teams’ arrival to discuss positioning the pool and consultation on final design aspects.

STEP 5: POOL EXCAVATION

Most of our clients find this experience a really exciting time. The excavators dig the hole for your new pool, prior to the formwork and concrete pour construction stage. It all becomes very real and you start to see your Custom Pool come to life.

STEP 6: CHOOSING POOL FINISHES

This is the fun part, generally our clients have already chosen their finishes. But if you haven’t now is the time, things you should consider are: - Interior Pool Colour or Tiles - Coping Tiles - Internal Pool Lighting. At this stage you may also consider your landscaping, decking etc, Custom Pools can provide lots of ideas and local contractors our clients have used before.

STEP 7: FORM WORK AND CONCRETE POUR

A team of steel fixers will build the internal steel frame or formwork, it’s really taking place. Certification of the internal steel frame will be done by the engineers prior to the concrete being poured. Then concretors will spray and form up the concrete interior of your new pool.

STEP 8: CONCRETE CURE / PLUMBING / TILING / ELECTRICS

The next step is to install the plumbing and filtration system, lay the perimeter coping tiles, install solar (if required) and finally the pool fencing. An electrician will be required to install the power supply to the filtration system, earth wire and install a 12 volt transformer for lighting. An approved pool resuscitation sign must also be fixed within the pool area in a high visibility position under Australian law. The backwash is also required to be connected to your storm water or an alternate to this is a rubble pit. Specifications may vary between Councils and it is also best to check this.

STEP 9: CERTIFICATION AND POOL FENCING

This is the finale! Your pool is just about ready, a Certifier is engaged for final sign off to comply with Australian Pool Fencing laws. Once certification is received you are free to enjoy your beautiful new Custom Pool.

STEP 10: ENJOY YOUR NEW CUSTOM POOL

The last step is to start enjoying your pool and enjoying what we have created together. The Custom Pools team provides you with all the necessary handover equipment and knowledge as part of the process.
